Grandmaster
Jhoon Rhee endorses Karate Universe
Grandmaster Jhoon Rheee "the father of Tae Kwon Do in the
western hemisphere" endorses Karate Universe for the quality
training, inspirational skills, motivational skills, and overall
martial arts professionalism. At the recent promotion board where
14 first degree black belts tested and one second degree black belt
tested; Grandmaster Rhee noted how they truly earned their black
belts. He was impressed and astonished by their performance and
all the students of Karate Universe.
Grandmaster
Jhoon Rhee complimented Master Spyros and endorsed Karate Universe
as "the excellent school in Connecticut" His endorsement
was for Karate Universe's quality training, motivational and inspirational
skills toward the students by teaching them respect for elders,
teachers, and parents.
Also, Grandmaster Rhee conducted a special training seminar recently
for Karate Universe instructors. The vigorous training and philosophy
was a tremendous experience for the female and male instructors.
Training covered flexibility, strength training, self-defense and
creative form. All instructors passed with a special certificate
by Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee.

Five
Time world Kick-Boxing champion Kathy Long Visited Karate Universe
Kathy Long, who is a five-time world champion in kick-boxing and an
eighth degree black belt in Kung Fu, visited Karate Universe to share
her awsome self-defense techniques with students. She taught numerous
self-defense techniques and shared her real life situations with the
students, including training techniques she uses to prepare for a
kick-boxing match.
Ms. Long graciously stayed to attend a Promotion Board and was impressed
with the skills and techniques the students displayed. She enjoyed
our students' thoughtfulness and respectfulness showed not only to
herself but also to one another. "It is difficult to leave
such wonderful people" she stated to both Master Spiros and
Master Dean of Karate Universe.
Kathy Long has appeared in television and movies including doing the
stunt work for Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns. |
